The directory contains input files for two tests of computing
synthetic spectra for a NLTE model atmosphere that was constucted
using partial opacity tables, namely model g55nres, generated as a test
case of tlusty in directory $TLUSTY/tests/tlusty/optab.
The first test is computing a spectrum between 6700 and 6800 A,
taking into account lines of atoms/ions (list gfATO.bin), diatomic
molecules (list gfMOL.bin), and of TiO (list gfTiO.bin). All line
lists are in the binary format. The standard input file, tabsp.5, was
described in detail in Paper IV (the manual), Sec, 7.2.3.
The second test is a computing flux in the theoretical continuum
(plus hydrogen lines), between 1500 and 7500 A.
The script R1 runs both tests; the user has first to make sure that
the environment variable TLUSTY is properly set to the main directory
of the Tlusty distribution. For example, if the downloaded distribution
file tlusty208.tar.gz was extracted in the home directory,
then the TLUSTY environment variable is to be set to ~/tlusty208.
The script R1 makes proper links to the data directory and to the line lists,
copies files g55nl.55 to fort.55 and g55nl.3 to fort.3, and runs SYNSPEC.
Analogously, it then runs SYNSPEC for the second test.

The directory contains input data for two test cases.
The first one is computing a spectrum for a
Kurucz model, Teff=9750 K, log g = 4, for a short wavelength
range between 1400 and 1410 A.
In order to be able to use the script file RSynspec, one needs to
copy the original Kurucz model file (ap00t9750g40k2.dat), and the
standard input file (tab.5) to the name with a common core name,
in this case kurucz9750g40, as it is done in the script file R1.
The spectrum is computed with atomic lines only.
Without using the script R1, the same model can be run as:

for a solar-type star, Teff=5500 K, log g = 4.5, taking into
account three line lists, all in the binary format: gfATO.bin (atomic),
gfMOL.bin (diatomic molecules), and gfTiO.bin (TiO).
The model core name is kur55g45.
The standard input file, tab.5, is almost identical to cool.5 used
iun the previous test, but contains the keyword parameter file
(tab.nst) that sets generating four output files with interesting
parameters pertaining to the equation of state, fort.51 - 54.
These files are explained in detail in Paper IV (manual), Sec.3.3.

The directory contains input data for computing two opacity tables:
1) optab11_7f - full table with opacities of all species;
2) optab11_7hmc - a partial opacity table where the opacity of H, Mg, and Ca
is removed.
In both cases, the table has 100,000 wavelength points between 900 and 110,000 A,
for 11 temperatures between 3 and 15 kK (spaced logarithmicall),
and 7 densities, between 1.e-12 and 1.e-6 g cm^-3 (again spaced logarithmically).
In this particular case, the resulting opacity tables optab11_7f.dat and
optab11_7hmc.dat were not copied to the subderectory results because they
can be downloaded separately, as explained in Paper IV
The script R1 runs both test cases, however it is time-consuming, taking
about 26 and 45 minutes on iMac 3.4GHz for the two respective tables.
The input data assume that the binary line lists are being used, so that
they must exist. In the case the binary lists are not used, the user
should make links to the ASCII files, and to make corresponding changes in
the files *.3, e.g.

In this case, another possibility would be to link the three line lists
to fort.19 (atomic list), fort.20, and fort.21, delete the fort.3 file,
and to modify the file fort.55 by adding the last line that sets the
number of molercular line lists to 2, having unit numbers 20 and 21.

If one intends to compute an opacity tables to be used for cool
(K and M) stars, one should modify the fort.3 file as,
assuming that one has the binary lists

The directory contains input files for a pseudo-NLTE spectrum,
where the input model is a Kurucz model with Teff=5500 K, log g = 4.5,
but the NLTE level populations of H, Mg, and Ca, expressed through
the absolute b-factors, are taken from the previously computed model
g55nres (one of the test cases for TLUSTY), which took these
three species in NLTE, while the rest in LTE. Details are explained
in the Manual, Sec.3.8, item (III).
Notice that this option is switched on by the keyword parameter IBFAC=2,
plus having an additional input file called "bfactors", which is
copied from the file g55nres.22 generated by TLUSTY.
